I’m Dr Sarah McKay.
I’m an Oxford University-educated neuroscientist, presenter of ABC Catalyst, director of The Neuroscience Academy, and author of The Women's Brain Book. The neuroscience of health, hormones and happiness.
I simplify insights from neuroscience research into smart actionable strategies for peak performance, creativity, health, and wellbeing.
Curious about how to use neuroscience in your work and everyday life? Wonder why you think, feel and act the way you do. Want to learn how you can use brain science to help others?

The Women's Brain Book.
The Neuroscience of Health, Hormones and Happiness.
As women, understanding how our minds and brains are shaped and sculpted by our genes and hormones, our life experiences, society and culture, and our thoughts, feelings and beliefs is key to health and wellbeing.
The story begins in the womb and chapters focus in turn on infancy and girlhood, puberty and the menstrual cycle, the teenage years, mental health, romance and sex, pregnancy and motherhood, menopause, and finally longevity and old age.

Watch me on the TEDx stage explaining the neurobiology of the afternoon nap (it'll enhance your memory, spark creativity, and regulate your emotions. No app, guru or course required!)
